New Identity As A VOCALOID Producer
#

“This Spring Festival, I uploaded my first Vocaloid original song on Bilibili and NetEase Cloud Music, officially beginning my journey as a producer under the name Aoki-P.”

The main purpose of uploading this song was to try something new flex my underage producer status 🤭 .

After the college entrance exam (June 2025), I plan to systematically study arrangement and mixing, delve into methods that resonate with listeners, find my own style, then rebrand with a memorable name and start anew.

Thoughts on Music
#

Any musical style that brings comfort, emotion, relaxation, joy, or allows listeners to see themselves in the song can be considered good music.

I increasingly feel that songwriting shares much in common with writing. Both involve using technical skills and aesthetics to craft works that resonate with others.

Contrast is crucial. Key changes create pitch contrast, variations in instrumentation bring dynamic contrast… Most pop music shares the same essence as classical symphonies—they’re both “feasts of information”. Chords and counterpoint form ever-changing interval relationships, creating irregularities within patterns, moving from tension to resolution, posing questions then answering them… The interplay of rhythmic grooves and melodic motion crafts pleasant tunes. When combined with emotionally charged or narrative lyrics, paired with colorful or deceptively simple chord progressions, this creates memorable auditory experiences.

Ambient sounds play a significant role. Cicadas evoke endless summer days, vinyl crackles embody nostalgia, slightly detuned synth solos recall childhood birthday candles… Incorporating these elements builds unique atmospheres.

The Future of This Site
#

Over the past year, academic pressures and boarding school life left little time for site maintenance, resulting in a nearly year-long hiatus. Starting in June, the site will resume regular updates. I’ll share insights on music theory, arrangement, and mixing. After entering university, I’ll transform this into a tech-focused blog documenting my learning journey. The “Shuoshuo” section will be retired—life updates will migrate to NetEase Cloud notes and Bilibili BB Zone 🐕 dynamics.

As an amateur producer, I’ll maintain a separate online identity. To prepare for potential visibility, this update removes real names and personal details (anti-doxxing measures) . The placeholder name “Karlukle" (awkward and meaningless) will eventually be replaced by my producer alias. The domain name will change accordingly.

The music section will be reorganized, synced with my NetEase Cloud playlists, and gain a “My Original Works” category.

Backend dependencies like view counters (via Leancloud) will be phased out due to reliability issues. Considering alternative comment systems.

This trilingual site (Chinese/English/Japanese) will prioritize Chinese updates (with English sync). Japanese content resumes when my proficiency improves.

About ICP Filing
#

Having maintained ICP filing for a year, my conclusion: Not worth the hassle
While ICP filing enables Baidu indexing and domestic CDN access, it’s server-dependent—problematic for static sites on Vercel. Baidu’s ad-ridden search and strict policies make it less useful anyway. Vercel’s built-in CDN suffices. For student bloggers, ICP filing proves time-consuming, costly, and ultimately ineffective.

Platform Data (As of Date)
#

I first released my track on NetEase Cloud Music. To my surprise, it surpassed 1,000 plays within just a few days (likely due to the virtual singer’s fanbase effect).

NEM

The song’s PV was uploaded to Bilibili, garnering over 1,500 plays.

Bilibili

Now comes the rant about Tencent Musician and QQ Music. Extremely unfriendly toward VOCALOID producers—no contract options for songs, zero traffic exposure, and nightmare-tier customer service

PS: NetEase Cloud Musician’s lifetime membership serves me well 🍉.

Yesterday, during Niconico’s VOCALOID event in Japan, I uploaded the song to Niconico. Surprisingly, it received around 10 live comments!

Niconico
↑They actually praised my lyrics! 😂

Random musings like this—unlikely to attract attention elsewhere—are perfect for personal blogs. 😊

Next post might be a review? 🤔 “June XX: My university prep list—laptop, peripherals, audio interface, MIDI controllers, studio headphones…”
